Heathrow Airport Taxi Guide

Heathrow, or London Heathrow (LHR) airport serves London and as a major hub airport acts as as a gateway to the UK and Europe.

London Heathrow Transfer options.

London Taxis (Black Cabs) are available to and from all terminals, due to the distance from Central London these may not be your best option. Pre booked mini-cab or private hire vehicles usually operate on a fixed fare basis for Heathrow transfers. There are also several mini bus and local coach companies operating to and from Heathrow and towns in the south of England. Scheduled coach services, also operate, of particular note for transfer passengers is the Heathrow to Gatwick coach service which saves a train journey via London if you need to go between the two airports. National Express opperate Dot2Dot Heathrow’s first airport shuttle service. Heathrow is directly linked to central London by underground railway (The Tube) and by an express rail link (The Heathrow Express) see below.

Heathrow Express

If you want to let the train take the strain, as they used to say, you can take the Heathrow Express into Central London. The Heathrow Express travles between the airport and Paddington station in only 15 minutes.

London Underground (The Tube)

Although it takes about 35 minutes from central London, the Tube is much cheaper than the Heathrow Express.
